Meet West Midland Safari Park's New Baby!

It's a boy! West Midland Safari Park are celebrating their first ever baby elephant birth and your family are invited to join them in style.

We all go a bit goo gah at the birth of a tiny baby, so how exciting that West Midland Safari Park have just welcomed their first baby elephant, with the bouncing  baby boy weighing in at a very healthy 100kg on 5th May.

And we know you can't wait to meet him, so we are giving you the chance to visit with your family in real VIP style.

The baby’s mother is 22-year-old ‘Five’ and along with the park's other adult female elephant Latabe, the African elephant trio can be seen in the park on most days, but if we get a snap of the usual British summer time bad weather the new baby will be indoors in the warm.

The park's elephant reserve covers 5 acres and comes complete with housing, nursery, pastures, pool and a sandpit – which will no doubt provide endless adventures for the youngster over the summer!
