Police are appealing for information following an assault on a woman in Bury St Edmunds in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 26-year-old was walking through the town centre between 4am and 5am. As she walked through the car park of The Black Boy pub, she saw a person. Once she got to the pavement on St Andrew's Street South, she ended up on the floor and the man attempted to sexually assault her.
She screamed, and a taxi appeared. The man ran off. The woman was shaken but unhurt.
The man is described as wearing a black hooded top and black trainers.
Officers want to speak to anyone who was in this area at the time and may have seen the man before or after the incident, and also want to speak to the taxi driver.
Calls should be made to PC Lisa Yorke at Bury St Edmunds Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
