Bury St Edmunds: Man Charged With Murder

A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of 66-year-old Peter Avis who was found dead at a flat in Bury St Edmunds on Friday 13th Janurary.
Kamil Kita, who is unemployed and of no fixed abode, was arrested by police on Monday 23rd January, and taken into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he was interviewed by detectives.
He has been charged with Mr Avis's murder and he was detained in custody overnight.
He is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning, Thursday 26th January.
An 18-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has now been bailed to return to police on Wednesday 21 March.
Three people have now been charged in connection with the investigation and six have been arrested.
