MAFS UK's Charlie breaks silence following split from 'toxic' Eve

Married At First Sight's Charlie has thanked viewers for their support after she and Eve broke-up.

Married At First Sight UK bride Charlie has spoken out following her split from wife Eve, after the pair left the experiment during an emotional commitment ceremony.

Despite the help of experts Mel Schilling, Charlene Douglas and Paul C Brunson, their relationship couldn't be salvaged and the pair decided to leave the experiment following weeks of arguments.

Their partnership has come under fire in recent weeks after Charlie was accused of being a 'bully' by fellow bride Polly, after Eve opened up about their relationship issues. Things came to head during an awkward commitment ceremony where the pair eventually decided to quit the show.

Whilst Eve appears to have moved on with a new girlfriend, Charlie has now broken her silence regarding her time on MAFS UK.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Charlie said: "Hi everyone, hello to my new followers. Oh my goodness, it’s all gone a bit crazy overnight.

"Just wanted to come and just basically just say like a huge, massive you, just to like everyone for like everyone’s support. It’s actually overwhelming like how much love and support I’ve has since you know, just over the last couple of weeks really.

"What happened, happened, it is what it is. It was a really, really, really tough journey. But a time has passed, I’m happy, I’m doing well."

She went on to add: "I’m just so happy that everyone saw it for what it was.”

MAFS UK viewers had a lot to say about Charlie and Eve's relationship, with many of them taking to X, formally known as Twitter, to discuss their time on the show.

One user wrote: "Eve is easily the most terrifying person I’ve ever ever seen on MAFS. The way she’s acting like Charlie has killed her family or something is UNHINGED. She is trying her hardest to turn the world on Charlie and it’s honestly soooo weird. #mafs #mafsuk"

Another added: "We all stand with your Charlie, how awful to be put through this. Hope she finds a person who makes her feel safe, warm, protected and cared for. She deserves every inch of happiness after being subjected to this turmoil #MAFSUK #MAFS"

With a third stating: "Eve is up there as one of the most toxic people that’s been on the show. Her energy is so dark #MAFSUK"

Eve has kept notably silent since her scenes on the show aired and has not commented on the rumours she is in a new relationship.

In images obtained by The Sun, the MAFS bride can be seen hugging a mystery woman. The 31-year-old was also reportedly seen kissing this unknown person in Ibiza days earlier, according to the publication.

A fan who spotted Eve with her new love said: "As a fan of MAFS UK I was shocked to see Eve with her hand around someone else other than Charlie. I was really rooting for them and they were one of my favourite couples."
