Rio Ferdinand near tears as his 12-year-old son posts sweet tribute to his engagement

Rio's 12-year-old son Lorenz had some heartwarming words for his dad and his fiance Kate Wright.
Rio Ferdinand's eldest son Lorenz has touched his dad's heart after he gave an outpouring of support for him and his step-mum Kate Wright on their engagement.
The former England ace proposed to his ex-TOWIE star girlfriend in Abu Dhabi this week surrounded by his three children, Lorenz, 10, Tate, 10 and Tia, 7.

Announcing the proposal Rio shared an adorable snap of him and Kate just after popping the question with his children excitedly looking on.
Showing his pride for his dad and Kate, Lorenz adorably commented on the photo "So glad she said yes I'm so proud of you and Kate love you both so much."
Clearly choked up by the cute message Rio screen shotted it and posted it on his Instagram story with the words "My boy is trying to make his dad all emotional n sh**".
Rio and Kate have been dating since 2016 but took their relationship to the next level when Kate moved in with Rio and the kids in late 2017.
Sadly the mother of Rio's children and his ex-wife, Rebecca Ellison, passed away from cancer in 2015.
Kate has become a huge part of the kids' lives and they now consider her their step-mum as the brood as grown closer and closer to the new addition to their family.
