“We’ve both had time to get our heads around it and now we’re over the moon. It makes me feel so emotional that my baby is having a baby of her own.
"I know what it's like to be young and pregnant - it's scary, but Emilie will be a great mum."
Emilie admitted that she was terrified in breaking the news to her famous mum, and revealed: “For ages I couldn’t actually get the words ‘I’m pregnant’ out of my mouth because I didn’t know how people would react – I even made Mum tell my dad!
"Luckily I have the most supportive parents in the world and they’re both really excited.”
But it turned out that Kym was more than okay with the situation - and even saw benefits to being a young mum.
She explained: "Me, Emilie and David are best friends and I think that’s because there isn’t a huge age gap between us."
It seems that young pregnancy runs in the family, as Kym's mum was 18 when she fell pregnant with Kym's brother.
Kym's sister was also of the same age when she confirmed she was expecting.
As well as David and Emilie, Kym also shares daughter Polly, 8, with ex-husband and soap star Jamie Lomas.
The former couple tragically lost their son, Archie, just moments after birth in 2009.
