The brave father-of-three has thrown himself back into work as he continues to fight stage four lung cancer.
Jonnie Irwin has shared a sneak peek of his latest TV project after deciding to return to work following his terminal cancer diagnosis.
The former A Place In The Sun presenter, 49, took to Instagram to reveal he was back in the studio recording voice overs for two short films he was narrating.
Posting a glimpse of his broadcasting gig at BBC Newcastle, the brave father-of-three filmed himself in front of a microphone while wearing a pair of huge headphones.
Captioning the teaser clip on social media, he wrote: "Recorded the VO for the two short films we made for @bbcmorninglive."
He continued: "Chose not to take electric bike which was a mistake. I dusted off the push bike and soon realised the studios were up long climb (for me). Anyway I was a bit late but home now and glad of the exercise."
The telly star, who explained last November that his inoperable tumour had spread to his brain, has thrown himself back into work as he continues to fight stage four lung cancer.
Fans were delighted to see the ex-Escape to the Country host, who was initially given just six months to live following his diagnosis, back in the hot seat and looking "so well".
"You're a strong guy Jonnie, love your positivity 👊💙," wrote one social media follower.
"You look so well Jonnie. Lovely to see you' got over your chest infection. Sending love and light to you and your family 💕⭐️xx," added another Instagram user.
A third gushed: "Your positivity and courage and tenacity is inspiring. Wish you and your family all the best."
"Looking amazeballs, Jonnie, you must be doin' summat right ✅️ 😉 Lotsa life xxxx," added a fourth.
While a fifth wrote: "Looking so well, delighted your back in the studio 💕."
Jonnie has been suffering from a chest infection in recent weeks, revealing to fans that he's been using hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help clear the bug.
Sharing an image of himself in a warm coat wrapped in a blanket, he explained how grateful he was to have advice from "knowledgable people".
Next to the snaps on social media, he wrote: "Hitting my chest infection from all sides; antibiotics (I tried to ride it out but was getting worse) 2 hours this morning in my @o2worx hyperbaric chamber and now down at @sereniti_health breathing deeply in the Salt Room.
"So relaxing and got this place to myself! All wrapped up and relaxed. I feel I’ve got some great and knowledgeable people around me atm."
Despite his ongoing battle with terminal cancer and its nasty side effects, the doting dad made it his mission not to miss out on special moments with his family.
Jonnie recently spent the day at an allotment with his wife Jessica, 40, and their three sons, four-year-old Rex, and three-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.
Posting about the sweet adventure on Instagram, he wrote next to the autumnal snaps: "Probs should’ve stayed inside with my chest infection but would’ve got too much FOMO missing out on visiting uncle @maccaholmes allotment.
"Sometimes I need a push and seeing the lads enjoy picking some apples, and pumpkins was superb. Unfortunately feeding @jessofjesmond obsession with Halloween is a downside!"
