According to The Sun, a source revealed: "Alan has met with the bosses and they all hit it off straight away.
“He’s a perfect celebrity for Strictly because he’s popular, funny and throws himself into everything — but has never had a day’s dance training in his life. What’s certain is he won’t hold back.”
Fans of the show will remember he made a brief appearance at the Strictly final over the weekend to read out the voting terms and conditions - is this a clue that he's heading to the ballroom next year?
Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton were the 2018 Strictly Come Dancing champions.
Even Tess Daley has confirmed bosses already have some contestants up their sleeves.
She said: “People have been approached. I’ve heard there’s a few who have already confirmed.”
