A shop worker has chased an armed robber out of a store in Wisbech.
The man tried to hold up the Londis store in Tinker's Drove between 3:10pm and 4pm on Sunday.
Police say his face was covered with a scarf when he threatened the employee with a weapon and demanded cash.
However, the 56 year old victim then tackled the offender and chased him out of the store.
Detective Constable Tony Harlow, investigating, said: "This was a terrifying experience for the member of staff who showed great bravery to chase the offender out of the shop."
The offender was described as white, 25 to 35, stocky, 5'7'' and was wearing a grey hooded top, scarf and a zip-up jacket with an England logo on the back.
Anyone with any information should call DC Harlow on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
