Ysgol Morgan Llwyd chef Jack Thomas was against two others in the challenge.
In the final of LACA Welsh School Chef of the Year 2013, the three finalists had to battle it out in an hour-and-a-half long cook-off, having to create a two course meal which would cost just £1.50 per pupil.
Jack, from Wrexham, came up with a main course of Sweet Pork Ribs with tomato dip, pepperslaw, macaroni cheese and chilli bread, followed with a dessert of and Applejack Tart - an appler desset with a crunchy flapjack topping with a caramel and coconut sauce.
