Security Guard Assaulted In Bank Robbery

Two robbers on a motorbike escaped with a cash box from a bank in Northampton this morning/Tuesday.

The men, who were on a silver motorbike, stopped outside Barclays Bank in Weedon Road at around 11.35am.

They assaulted a security guard and made off from the scene with a cash box.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or who may have seen two men on a silver motorbike leaving the scene and heading along the Harlestone Road.
