Police in Northampton are appealing for witnesses after a 27-year-old man was assaulted in Wood Hill at around 2.30pm on New Years Day.
The victim had mistakenly parked his car in a disabled bay, which the offender took exception to.
He parked behind the victim's car, got out and began shouting at him before grabbing the jacket of the victim and pushing him up against the car.
A woman the offender was with pulled him away and both cars left the scene.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
The offender was a white man, aged 65, of heavy build, with grey hair and wore thick rimmed glasses. He was around 5ft 7ins tall and wore a cardigan and jogging bottoms. He drove a silver Kia Carens.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
