Police are appealing for information after a cash machine in Norwich was tampered with.
It comes after a member of the public reported having problems getting cash out of the Co-op ATM on Hall Road.
It happened between 4pm and midnight on Saturday 14 July. A plastic strip had been placed across the cash dispenser section, causing the machine to display 'transaction failed' when in fact the money had been dispensed and had been trapped by the plastic.
A vigilant member of the public noticed the plastic device and alerted staff in the store.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have used the cash machine recently and experience problems withdrawing cash. Police would also like to speak with anyone who may have noticed people acting suspiciously in the area around the times stated.
Anyone with information should contact PC Simon Gooch at Earlham Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
