Two lorry drivers killed after crash on Christmas Eve

Two lorry drivers have died following a crash in Lincolnshire.

The men, who police said were both 51, were each driving a lorry when they collided near the Snitterby junction on the A15 on Christmas Eve morning just after 9.30am.

One of the men was from the Barnsley area of South Yorkshire and the other was from Cleethorpes in northeast Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire Police said.

The crash involved a Volvo lorry and a Scania lorry.

"Sadly, the drivers of both lorries were pronounced dead at the scene," the police statement added.

The road remained closed on Tuesday afternoon while police investigated the scene.
