A man's had to have 20 stitches to patch up a head injury after being attacked with a Samurai sword in Milton Keynes.
The 23 year old victim was attacked by a man in Ramsons Avenue, Conniburrow, at around 7pm on Monday 23 July 2012.
The victim was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital, but has since been released.
Detective Constable David Brandon, from Thames Valley Police, said: “At this stage we do not have a great deal of detail about this incident.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time as they may have information that could help us progress our investigation."
Thames Valley Police have been carrying out reassurance patrols in Conniburrow to reassure the community.
