Paying for parking in Milton Keynes could be like most other places in future - with an upgrade of payment machines - that actually take credit and debit cards.
They only take coins at the moment - and although you can use an app to go cashless - the public space parking machines - can't take cards.
The council's also looking into a new tap in/tap out option.
It could cost up to 1-MILLION pounds to pay for upgrading the machines - a recent survey (by the RAC Foundation) found MK Council makes 11-million pounds a year from public car-parking charges.
