Trains for Beds & Northants to be built in UK

The new rail operator replacing East Midlands trains next month, Abellio, says its 33 new inter-city trains will be built in Britain.
The £400m contract has gone to Hitachi in County Durham.
The new trains will operate on the Kettering, Wellingborough, Bedford and Luton line, from 2022.
The new carriages will feature air con, free Wi-Fi, plug sockets and better passenger information screens and 7-day catering - including in Standard Class.
The new trains - which will operate as electric trains as far as Market Harborough will switch to being diesel onto Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield.
Abellio takes over the East Midlands franchise next month.
