More than 60 firefighters have tackled a large blaze at a former airfield near Ongar.

Crews were called to the former airfield at Matching Green just after 12pm on Thursday. Appliances from Harlow, Old Harlow, Leaden Roding, Epping and Loughton attended initially - other crews from Waltham Abbey, Dunmow and Stansted later joined along with Herts Fire and Rescue crews from Cheshunt and Bishop’s Stortford.
