Hadleigh: Machete Attack At Traffic Lights
A driver has been attacked by a man with a machete at traffic lights in Hadleigh.
It happened in Scrub Lane, at the junction with Rectory Road on Friday night (January 11th).
The 37-year-old man from Benfleet was in his car when the suspect knocked on his window and demanded the victim to get out.
Police say when the victim refused to do this an altercation following and the victim received cuts to his hand and minor injuries to his arm from a machete, before he was able to drive off, leaving the suspect in the middle of the road.
Dc Rory Scarlett said: "I am appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact me. The victim is unable to provide a detailed description, he can only remember that he was white, large/stocky build with dark brown hair and wearing a t-shirt.
