A man's been arrested over a suspected stabbing in Bournemouth.
Police were called to Privet Close in Winton yesterday afternoon after another man suffered chest injuries, although they weren't life-threatening.
Dorset Police received a report of an alleged assault at around twenty five to two in the afternoon.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said:
''Officers attended premises on Privet Close where the victim was located. He sustained non life threatening injuries to his chest, possibly caused by a sharp object and was conveyed to Poole Hospital by the ambulance service.
Another man at the location who sustained a minor head injury has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
The road has been cordoned off while officers make enquiries to ascertain exactly what happened."
One neighbour said armed units were on the scene, as well as two ambulances.
The woman, who asked not to be named, said:
''We heard screaming and police we spoke to said there had been a bad assault.
We heard they had been stabbed a couple of times and hit with a hammer.
They were looking in the bins and they closed off the whole road''.
