Sexual Assault In Bournemouth
Detectives investigating a sexual assault in North Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a sexual assault in the town.
The incident, in which a woman in her 20s was approached and then sexually assaulted in the Charminster area of the town, happened at around 5pm on Friday 18 November 2011.
Detective Constable Steve Griffin of Bournemouth CID said: “The victim got off a bus near Cemetery Junction at around 4.30pm.She visited the Tesco Express store in Charminster Road before walking along Lowther Road.
“She was approached by two men who tried totalk to her before one of the men grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.”
The victim was not injured.
Officers are now able to release descriptions of the offenders.
One of the men is described as Asian looking, in his twenties, with brown skin, about five feet five inches tall and of small tomedium build.
He has black spiky hair and was wearing a black jacket.
The second man, also in his twenties, is taller thenthe first, with a lighter skin colour and of a larger build. He has dark hairand was wearing a jacket.
Both men were talking with an Asian accent.
DC Griffin continued: "The victim was left very upset by this distressing incident.
“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessedthis assault or who was in the area at the time.
“I would also urge anyone with any information about thoseresponsible to contact police as soon as possible.”
