Vodafone has confirmed it is cutting 375 jobs across the company.
Heart has been told the roles will go in a number of areas, but most of the employees are not based at the company's HQ in Newbury. Vodafone will not release details of the specific areas where the redundancies are being made.
In a statement released to Heart, Vodafone said, "The roles affected are in a number of areas, across a number of locations, primarily in back office functions. There will also be additional changes as further efficiencies and natural attrition in these functions take effect."
As well as making cuts, Vodafone is hiring 170 people in customer facing roles and will choose 50 graduates to start in September.
Matthew Brearley, HR Director for Vodafone UK said: "We’re committed to increasing the number of customer facing employees which will help us simplify our business and continue to deliver outstanding communications services across the UK’s best network".
