Have Your Say On Wiltshire's Budget

Local people are being invited to help shape the council’s budget for 2013/14 at nine interactive roadshows around Wiltshire.

Everyone who visits the roadshows will be asked where they would make savings and where they would invest if they had control of the council’s budget. They will also be asked their views on what the council has done well and where it could do better following its first four years as a unitary authority.

All the responses will be collated and will help influence the council’s direction, future plans and budget setting.

Council leader, Jane Scott, said:

“We want as many people to visit the roadshows and tell us what they think. We need to find out what our tax payers want us to prioritise in the future. We look forward to meeting local residents and hearing their views about the council and the services we provide. The road shows, which all take place on market days, are an example of how we work with local people to make sure that we allocate council funding and resources to reflecting their views and feedback. We want to know what people consider that we’ve done well so we can continue to improve, and we want to hear where we can do better.”

All roadshows will take place from 11am to 1pm, and cabinet members and council staff will be on hand to answer any questions people may have:
