A man has been arrested and charged following an attack in Swindon town centre.

A man has been arrested and charged following an  attack in Swindon town centre.

The incident took place shortly after 2.15am on Sunday 3rd March 2013 in Fleet Street outside the Subway sandwich shop.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was walking towards Bushwackers nightclub when he was punched to the back of the head by a man.

An 18-year-old local male was arrested on Sunday in connection with this incident and was taken to Gablecross Police Station for questioning.

Police then charged 18 year old Ben Thomas Goddard, of Chandos Close, Grange Park, Swindon was charged with causing Grievous Bodily Harm without Intent.

He was released on bail and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on March 27th 2013.
