Off the back of scandal-hit Stafford Hospital a 12 week independent review of death rates at Walsall Manor hospital is due out next month - with a brief update on the 12th March.
The Walsall Healthcare Trust was investigated over it's mortality rates which were almost 20% higher than expected between April 2011 and March 2012.
According to the Doctor Foster Hospital Guide into mortality rates at Hospital's across the country which came out in December 2012, Walsall Manor Hospital had 117 deaths between April 2011 and March 2012. The expected is 100.
Heart's been speaking to the Chief Executive of the Trust Richard Kirby who say the number of deaths have fallen and told us about the steps they have made to improve their services:
''We'd be the first to say we've got more to do, we know we're not yet where we want to be.''
''We're absolutely committed to putting really first class patient care at the heart of everything we do we want to listen really carefully to what people think of their experiences here whether that's good or bad so that we can act if it's not as good as it should be''
Jason Pitt lost his mum Lynda just 2 days ago on Mothers day and spoke exclusively to Heart saying he's disgusted with the way she was treated whilst in their care, she first went in after suffering a stroke in 2009:
''They missed simple obvious things, she came home with bed sores, and it is due to a lack of care, Walsall Hospital have replaced humanity with procedure and compassion for compliance, it's a shambles''
''Despite the fact my mum was completely paralysed with limited ability to communicate we asked her the question did she want to go and she indicated strongly that she wanted to fight she wanted to be here and we also asked her if she felt let down by Walsall Hospital and she pressed her thumb to indicate 'yes she did' ''
