Human Remains Found In Basingstoke

Hampshire Police are investigating after the discovery of what is thought to be human remains in Old Basing.
Police were called by a member of the public at around 2.30pm yesterday to an area of woodland off Basing Road.
The area is currently cordoned off while specialist teams carry out enquiries.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Dave Brown said:
"We are in very early stages of this investigation and are examining all possible scenarios.
"Initial enquiries are likely to take some time and we have a team of dedicated specialist officers working on this case.
"The area is likely to be cordoned off for some time, but members of the local community should be reassured that there isn't any risk to the public."
