Sussex Police will publish its Operational Delivery Plan for 2013/14 on 2 April.

The plan is launched against a backdrop of continuing national policing reform and the Force's ongoing modernisation programme which will see significant changes to its working practices, use of technology and greater transparency and access for the public.

Martin Richards, Chief Constable of Sussex said, "The Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex, Katy Bourne, has published her first Police and Crime Plan, setting out the strategic direction and targets for a range of partners who are responsible for delivering a safer Sussex.

"My plan sets out how we will deliver operational policing in Sussex - against the priorities, targets and budget set by the Police and Crime Commissioner, taking account of our regional and national responsibilities and the needs of all our communities.
"Importantly, my Operational Delivery Plan is not just about what we are going to do; it's about how we will do it. Doing the right thing, not just doing things right. "We police for the public and, rightly, we will be judged - not just on targets - but on every interaction our officers and staff have with the people we serve."
