Kids love having fun outdoors, exploring, cycling, climbing, discovering wildlife, storming castles, discovering history and ... getting muddy of course!

Did you know you’re never more than 40 minutes from a National Trust place, and often much closer, so great family days out are literally on your doorstep. 

May and June are great times to visit a National Trust garden. As the warmer weather arrives the gardens are a wealth of colour and scents, perfect for picnics! From the newly opened Modernist gem, High Cross House in Devon, to Tyntesfield - a fascinating Victorian home packed with 1000’s of objects and the Trust’s largest conservation project, or the fantastic new immersive experience at Chedworth Roman Villa, this is a great year to step through the doors of a National Trust property and see what they are up to.
