Mel B revealed that there will be new Spice Girls material during an exclusive interview on Heart Breakfast.

Mel B has revealed that the Spice Girls are releasing a new album.

Speaking on today's Heart London Breakast Show, the mum-of-three teased that fans can look forward to new material when the girls hit the road in 2019.

When quizzed by Jamie Theakston, who presents the show with Emma Bunton, Scary Spice teased that fans will have even more to look forward to than a medley of favourites and greatest hits.

She said: "Yes we are recording an album."

However, she was quickly shot down by Sporty Spice Mel C, who interjected: "She’s fibbing!"

Today's Girl Power takeover saw the Spice Girls bring their own brand of Girl Power to the Heart London Breakfast Show.

As well as causing mayhem in the studio, Mel B teased that Victoria Beckham would be making a surprise appearance on the tour - joining the girls at their Wembley show.

Presenter Emma Bunton is joined by Mel B, Mel C and Geri Horner on this morning’s show - and they’ll be unleashing all sorts of Girl Power mayhem all over the airwaves.

On Monday it was announced that the band is hitting the road for a nation-wide tour in 2019.

Overcome with excitement, Emma couldn't help but let the cat out of the bag on that morning's Breakfast Show.

She told co-host Jamie Theakston: "I'm so excited!"

Yesterday she also struggled to keep a lid on her excitement, adding that she couldn't wait to look to her left and right and see Sporty, Scary and Ginger.

Tickets for next year's tour go on sale this Saturday November 10th.
