Norwich: Man Charged Over New Year's Eve Stabbing

A man's been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing on New Year's Eve in Norwich.

50-year-old David Ian Roberts from Bullard Road, Norwich, will appear at the city's magistrates' court this morning charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

It's after a stabbing on Magdalen Street at about 11pm where a 51-year-old man suffered serious injuries to his face and throat.

He was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment but has now been released.
