Explosion At Coryton Power Station

Fire crews have been called to deal with an explosion at Coryton Power Station.

Firefighters from Orsett and Corringham were called to Coryton Power Station at Stanford-le-hope shortly after 1pm on Friday following an explosion in a plant room.

Fire crews used a thermal image camera and reported that there were no signs of fire following the explosion.

No-one was injured in the incident.
