A new website has been launched for everything you need to know about the Tour de France when it comes to Essex.
Stage Three of the race is coming to the county on Monday, 7th July.
Essex County Council has launched the website with details of the route including the roads it affects, where events and activities are taking place, and where you can watch the whole of Stage Three on a big screen.
There is also a guide to the Tour itself meaning residents will be clued up on what it means to follow 'the peloton' and why they should look out for the rider in the 'yellow jersey'.
It is also aimed at helping people in Essex get active with information about cycle clubs in the county and links to the Active Essex website.
Councillor Ann Naylor, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing, said: "The Tour de France is the most exciting sporting event taking place in this country in 2014 and it is fantastic Essex is a part of it.
"I believe this website will help get everyone excited about the Tour, and give them all the information they need to make the most of this unique event.
"It is also a great resource for anyone who wants to take up cycling, encouraging more people to get on their bikes and get active.
"The website is an essential guide to the Tour de France coming through Essex and I encourage everyone to visit the site to plan how they can support it and enjoy the day."
