Essex: 12 Lorries On Fire Near M25
It has taken more than 30 firefighters five hours to put out a fire involving 12 lorries and around 100 lorry tyres near the M25 in Essex.
Crews were called to a container company at the Codham Hall Interchange at Junction 29 by Hornchurch shortly before 1am on Sunday (May 19th) after the alarm was raised by a security guard.
When they got there they found several vehicles alight. Initially three fire engines were called, but once they got there it the incident commander realised more were needed.
Just before 2am, the incident commander reported they were making steady progress to bring it under control.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has started. No roads were affected.
