Car Flips and Catches Fire On A338

A car has flipped over and caught fire on the A338 spur road out of Bournemouth today (Tuesday 13th November).

It happened just before 6am on the northbound carriageway, not far from the Cooper Dean Roundabout.

Police say the Subaru Impreza car flipped over several times and rolled, catching fire and then landing in a field at the side of the road.

Fire crews also attended. No other vehicle was involved.

The driver managed to get out of the car and was being check over by ambulance crews at the scene. He doesn't appear to have any serious injuries.

The entire carriageway was closed while the debris was cleared, causing major traffic delays at rush hour.
